The Balkan range boasts many peaks, its highest peak “Botev” (2376 m).
Near by peak “Botev” are many wonderful waterfalls, including Bulgarian highest waterfall “Raiskoto Praskalo” (120 m),
The Balkan Range holds 31 nature reserves.
You will also visit many beautiful museum, medieval monasteries, villages and National Revival towns.
ITINERARY
Day1. Arrival in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, situated at the foot of the lovely Vitosha mountain. Transfer to the hotel and night in Sofia.
Day2. Drive to town Pirdop, hike to chalet “Paskal”, ascend peak “Paskal” (2029m), and go to chalet “Momina Polyana” (6 hours). Accommodation – chalet “Momina Polyana”.
Day3. Ascend several peaks (2071 m – 2198 m), after 6 hours walk arrive in chalet “Echo”, the place of accommodation.
Day4. Hike to chalet “Kozya Stena”, continue to chalet “Beklemeto” through the pass “Beklemeto” (1565m) (5 hours). Accommodation - chalet “Beklemeto”.
Day5. Hike through the mountain ridge enjoys the view to the entire country, after 5 hours walk arrive in chalet “Dobrila”, the place of accommodation.
Day6. Ascend several peaks including the highest peak in the mountain mount “Botev” (2376 m) (7 hours). Accommodation – lounge in peak “Botev”.
Day7. Descend to chalet “Taja”, hike to peak “Rosovatetz”, pass under the “Singing Rocks”, and continue to chalet “Mazalat” (7 hours), the place of accommodation.
Day8. Hike to chalet “Uzana” through the peak “Buhala”. Accommodation – chalet “Uzana”.
Day9. Hike to pass “Shipka”, ascend the historical peak “Shipka” (3 hours), visit a memorial there, drive to museum town Etara (30 min), and tour it. Drive to Sofia (3 hours). Accommodation – hotel in Sofia.
Meals: FB /full board/ breakfast and dinner at the chalet/hotel. packed or picnic lunches. The holiday starts with dinner on day1 and ends with breakfast on day 10.
Transport: all transfers are with a private transport operator, according to the group size.
Insurance: only mountain insurance included.
